Explore the characteristic fishing town of Negombo with its picturesque beach front. Take a tour of the evidence of Portuguese and Dutch eras with its several buildings which dates back from that period. Negombo is popular for its Dutch canal network and is outrigger canoes and modern water-craft travel this route for trade and tourism purposes. The town is also home to Sri Lanka’s second-largest fish market (known as the Llelama), which is found on the north end of its lagoon.
